Books for Enhancing Speech and Language
Did you know that before your child learns to read at school s/he needs a range of spoken language and pre-literacy skills, some of which start as young as 12 months of age!
We specialise in providing advice to parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles and all who love sharing books with children, about:
- choosing books that are at the right level for your child (from babies to early primary school aged children),
- using book sharing strategies to enhance your child's spoken language and pre-literacy skills.
Most books can be used to help develop a range of skills in a child. When you select a book in our book store, there is a short description advising you about what skills you can develop in your child when sharing that particular book. When you purchase a book from our book store, you will receive an information sheet brimming with book sharing ideas.
